Dr. Bobby Lopez has served as executive director of the Hughen Center since 2012 and superintendent of the Bob Hope School since 2010. Dr. Lopez works hand in hand with project managers, nurses, and staff to ensure all the residence medical, educational, and every day needs are met.
Dr. Lopez has 31 years experience in education. Before joining the Hughen Center and Bob Hope School, Dr. Lopez worked as a teacher, principal, and superintendent of both public and charter schools through-out Texas. He was appointed to the National Board of Educational Sciences by President George W. Bush. Dr. Lopez served on the Southwest Regional Advisory Committee for the Department of Education. Dr. Lopez was appointed to the Texas Juvenile Probation Commission by Governor Rick Perry and was also elected to the Southwest Jr. College Board of Trustees.
